Wow! What a great story. Never a dull moment throughout the whole story, so many twists and turns.
FROM THE AUTHOR OF CONSTANT FEAR AND WELL OF BONES COMES ANOTHER ENTHRALLING PAGE TURNER THAT WILL WRAP THE READER IN A BLANKET OF SUSPENSE.
Alone in my prison, I ignored the cold rising from the uncomfortable slab beneath me and gave up the fight against the memories. They crowded in and made themselves at home. I marvelled at the small unimportant incidents in life that determine the path a person’s future will take. My path to murder started when I forgot to set my alarm.
RUTHLESS OBSESSION IS AN INTRICATE TALE WOVEN AROUND THE LUST FOR MONEY AND POWER, OBSESSIVE AND BRUTAL DESIRES, AND UNSTINTING LOVE IN WHICH THE SILVER DINGO, DETECTIVE ROSIE BLOOM, MUST UNRAVEL A COMPLEX CASE OF COUNTERFEIT, ASSAULT AND MURDER. FOR HER IT’S PERSONAL – BECAUSE FAMILY IS INVOLVED.

Detective Rosie Bloom, known as the Silver Dingo, is seconded to a rugged corner of the Kimberley to investigate a spate of local troubles. Cattle shootings, missing tourists, and a woman with no memory. Then the troubles morph into something far more sinister. A murderer is on the loose.

Melbourne, 1970 – bustling, cosmopolitan and undeniably exciting for a young woman fresh from the Apple Isle. But beneath the veneer of a city on the move is a sinister underbelly of cops on the take, standover thugs and illegal gambling dens into which a confident but naïve Constance O’Hara unwittingly falls.
Stuck in a spiral of crime and violence, Constance’s attempts to break free result in a brutal attack…and the belief she has killed her assailant.
Hunted and in constant fear for her life, Constance assumes a new identity and flees across the continent to Western Australia’s Goldfields to start a new life. But the past has long shadows and when her old life catches up with her, Constance must fight to save herself, the life she has created and those she loves.
From the Derwent to Lygon Street to the dust and flies of Kalgoorlie and the deep loam of the Swan Valley, K.A. Hudson has created an enthralling story with a wonderfully authentic and likeable main character, whose plight grips our hearts and seizes our attention. Hudson’s sense of the dramatic and her feel for the Australian character and landscape makes this an irrepressible read.

I have finally started on a pile of ironing I intended doing yesterday afternoon but I got stuck into and finished your very good novel. I Loved it!! Well Done. There were a few times when I thought "WOW" this is written by the Kerrie I know from bowls. Some sayings come to mind. "Still waters run deep" and "Never judge a book by it's cover". Congratulations. I will certainly recommend your book to my friends.
A very good read!!!
I haven't read a book in years. When I picked this up I couldn't put it down. An excellent read - can't wait for the next one.
